The relevant policies include the following:
- Governance. The Directors are responsible for ensuring that satisfactory processes are in place to manage strategic, ethical, and corporate social responsibility matters, including modern slavery. The Company's commitment to acting ethically and with integrity is reflected across its policy suite, including its Bribery and Corruption Policy, which includes specific reference to the obligations of associated persons in relation to ethical conduct.
- Whistleblowing. The Company's Whistleblowing Policy applies to all employees, contractors, and third parties acting on behalf of the Company. It provides a mechanism for reporting concerns about suspected wrongdoing, including slavery and human trafficking violations, without fear of reprisal. - Recruitment and employment practices. The Company's recruitment procedures include mandatory documentation checks to ensure that all individuals are of legal working age and eligible to work in the UK. The Company uses only reputable recruitment channels, complies with all applicable employment laws, regularly reviews pay and rewards against market rates, and is committed to fair employment practices for all staff.
- Security. The Director responsible for security ensures that all employees and consultants undergo appropriate security checks to confirm that they are legally entitled to work in the UK, thereby reducing the risk of human trafficking in the Company's workforce.
- Approved suppliers. The Company maintains an approved supplier list for technical, scientific, and professional service providers. All approved suppliers are subject to due diligence checks and regular reviews. The Company fosters long-term relationships with its supply chain and does not place demands on suppliers that could lead to human rights violations.
- Risk assessments. The Company recognises that certain jurisdictions, sectors, and services carry a higher risk of modern slavery. All such transactions are reviewed by the Directors, who assess the risks and determine any mitigation required before approval is granted to proceed.
4. Monitoring and Review
Modern slavery risk is an integral part of the Company's management performance reporting and is subject to audit processes consistent with the Company's Quality Management System. This statement will be reviewed annually by the Directors or sooner in the event of a material change in applicable legislation, regulation, or the Company's business activities.
